Answer: HILARITY, HIJINKS, and HELLES (drinking).
Question: What happens when the co-founders of both Throwback Brewery and Seven Stages Shakespeare Company get together to celebrate the release of their new beer collaboration?!
Join us on April 23, 2020 at high noon to celebrate William Shakespeare’s birthday with the very best birthday present we could possibly imagine—an original brew designed to toast the Bard AND walk us home from Winter into Spring! We’ll celebrate the launch of “All The Devils”, a 6.5% Helles Bock that features a malty, light caramel backbone with a toasty, delicate honey aroma, and a mild peppery spice finish. All The Devils is the third beer to be released as part of Throwback’s “A Can of Kindness – Charitable Beer Series” – where 50% of the profits from each can go to a charity. All The Devils will benefit Seven Stages Shakespeare Company, a ridiculously talented professional ensemble of creative artists dedicated to presenting exciting and accessible presentations of the works of William Shakespeare. The name All The Devils is a wink to a famous quote from Shakespeare’s final play The Tempest, “Hell is (Helles) empty, and all the devils are here.”
If you like that tidbit, or you’re a fan of Shakespeare trivia in general, or, more pressingly, you’re a fan of drinkin’ a beer with your lunch, you can indulge in the birthday celebration by virtually joining Annette, Nicole & 7SSC co-founders Chrissie and Dan, in a few rounds of jeoBARDy, a Shakespeare and Throwback-themed round of questions in the style of Jeopardy, where no money is on the line, but your hosts drink and give drinks for right or wrong answers. Play along at home, drink the new brew, and celebrate the way Shakespeare would have wanted you to—day drinking!
Our plan is to release All The Devils here at Throwback this week (pending label approval by the state), giving you guys plenty of time to pick up a can or four or eight(!) before the 23rd! During the webinar, Nicole and Annette will talk a bit about the beer, and Dan & Chrissie will talk a bit about The Tempest, before they all jump into jeoBARDy.
Interested? Just click on the link below on April 23rd at noon. We expect the webinar to run about 30 minutes, and, since it is a webinar, you will only be able to see and hear the hosts! So feel free to wear your pajamas or nothing at all, we can’t see or hear you. There will be chat available if you do want to ask the hosts questions.
If you have not used Zoom before, please try and login around 5 minutes before as a little browser plugin will need to be installed first. It should be painless and quick, but it does take a few minutes.
The audio will come through your computer speakers, so no phone number is needed!
