The New Hampshire Art Association is offering four online workshops during the month of July.
Award winning impressionist watercolor artist and NHAA member Dustan Knight is offering three sessions. The first is “Spring Birches,” on Thursday, July 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. Knight will demonstrate her step-by-step techniques and will share her watercolor tricks picked up from years of visual study and creative experience.
Her second workshop, “Allium Flowers,” will be held on Thursday, July 9 from 10 a.m. to noon. Knight will demonstrate the magic of splattering watercolor paint with an old toothbrush to create a variety of patterns and values of close, using this simple tool to make air brush style surfaces.
“Sunset in the Back Channel” is the topic of Knight’s third workshop on July 16, from 10 a.m. to noon. will illustrate how to keep the colors soft and blending into each other. She will also show you how to capture the sensation that the foreground is close up.
On Sunday, July 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., NHAA mixed media, handmade paper artist member Angie Follensbee-Hall will help participants envision their direction or journey and create a visual “Journey Collage.”
