Hold on tight for The Seacoast Country Fair, the newest and most EXTREME fair to ever hit New England. The excitement begins September 13th, 2018 at the premier New England Dragway in Epping, NH.
Former professional Bull Riding Champion, Kenny Churchill is taking his extensive rodeo expertise and venturing out by creating his own fair experience. As a New England native, Kenny grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts. He participated in hockey, football, baseball, and attended Northeastern University on scholarship for hockey. Although he found success in competitive sports, he always had a passion for riding bulls. Kenny competed for over 20 years in rodeo, earning 16 years of championship finals in bull riding. Rodeo is in his blood.
Kenny witnessed his father compete in some of the biggest rodeo’s in the world; Boston Garden, Madison Square Garden to name a few. Kenny’s brother, John, also rode bulls. As a couple of Boston boys, the Churchill’s faced their own challenges in the ring. Their Dad would always say, “You are from Boston, don’t expect the judges to be fair! Just bite your tongue and keep riding.”
Two highlights in Kenny’s career were competing at the Madison Square Garden, Ronald Regan Invitational, and organizing the World Cup Bull Riders in 1999. Later in his career, he became a recognized announcer and commentator for the rodeo world.
Kenny’s successful career has brought him many international rodeo connections in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Japan. The more rodeos he organized, the larger they became. They became so large that they began to resemble small fairs.
For the past 15 years Kenny has envisioned his own rodeo-fair hybrid. One that would include something for everyone of all ages! After consulting with many possible sites, he was able to secure the ideal location at the New England Dragway in Epping, NH. With plenty of parking and ample amenities, the New England Dragway is exactly the space necessary for countless fair attractions.
Kenny is excited that he can now bring his expertise to the Seacoast area and give the fans some EXTREME excitement, adding new twists to a country fair. You might not see Kenny riding, but he’s still in the arena announcing for the new generations of professional bull riders! We can’t wait to see you there!
Come happy, come hungry, and keep an eye out for Kenny!
