The Power Outage Party is simple – imagine you are cozy at home and the power goes out, and you happened to have had invited more than a dozen of the finest musicians over for the night – so you gather together in your living room for a fully acoustic night of music, stories, theatre and more. All completely in the dark with only lanterns to light the way.
No mics, no sound system, no stage lights – just a bunch of your favorite musicians together in the room with you, playing unamplified, with just candles and lanterns to light the way.
It’s a uniquely intimate experience.
Zachariah Hickman is known as a bassist, producer and bandleader for such artists as Josh Ritter, Ray LaMontagne, Barnstorm!, and many local luminaries. He once spoke to Tom Waits in an elevator, and used to wear a beret non-ironically. This is not his first time performing The Word Barn.
Come join him and his many co-conspirators for a singular event. Special guests will abound.
Come be part of Word Barn lore for years to come.
Flash lights and headlamps encouraged.
