Botanical Drawing: The Joy of Garden Sketching with Artist Carol Ann Morley

Enjoy sketching in the garden and capturing the beauty of natural forms. Explore the diversity of plant shapes and learn how to portray their characteristics. Under the guidance of Botanical Artist Carol Ann Morley, over the course of four sessions, learn how to begin a sketch, observe the angles of leaves and petals, and have fun watching your plant portrait come to life. Open to any level of drawing skill, and a great chance to socialize and have fun with other artists.

About the Speaker:
A gifted teacher, Carol has taught nature drawing since 1985. Teaching venues include the New York Botanical Garden, the Berkshire Botanical Garden, the Massachusetts Horticultural Botanical Program, the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden, and Sanctuary Arts in Eliot, Maine. Her art work has been shown in National museums. She currently lives and creates art in Kittery, Maine.

Tickets
This program will be taught in four sessions on repeating Thursdays (May 29, and June 5, 12, 19) 10AM – 1PM. Each ticket includes the four class sessions, and costs $250 for nonmembers and $175 for members. Participants bring their own drawing materials, sketchbooks, and a bagged lunch to each session.
