The Press Room presents a rich evening of compelling songwriting and distinctive voices at The Button Factory Stage. Join us on Thursday, July 17 for performances by Tina Ross, Alex Radus, and Louie Lou Louis—three standout artists recognized for their heartfelt musicianship and storytelling.
Tina Ross, a New York-based singer-songwriter, brings a deep emotional resonance to her songs, combining folk, jazz, and Americana influences with vivid lyricism. After overcoming a career-ending hand injury and relearning how to sing following a throat injury, Tina returned with renewed passion, releasing her acclaimed debut album While I’m Here in 2023. Her music is warm, textured, and introspective, often described as both soothing and stirring. She is the recipient of the 2023 FocusMusic Heyman Rising Artist Award and a 2024 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival “Most Wanted” Emerging Artist. Tina has shared the stage with legendary names such as John Gorka, Christine Lavin, and Tom Chapin.
Alex Radus is a Pennsylvania-based artist known for his genre-defying style and narrative-driven songwriting. Labeled a “versatile crooner” and “master guitarist,” Radus mixes Americana, swing, blues, and folk into a sound all his own. A skilled fingerstyle guitarist influenced by traditional music and early mentorships at the Augusta Heritage Center, Alex delivers both whimsy and poignancy with ease. He’s opened for Richie Havens and Darrell Scott, performed with John Gorka, and was voted a “Most Wanted” artist at the 2024 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, with an invitation to return to the Main Stage in 2025. His live performances are as musically adventurous as they are emotionally grounded.
Louie Lou Louis, also known as Louis Apollon, rounds out the evening with his vibrant and uplifting blend of folk, jazz, and global influences. Based in Brooklyn, Louie is known for songs that celebrate human imperfection, aiming to connect with audiences through joy, storytelling, and rhythm. A nominee for Male Performer of the Year at the 2018 New England Music Awards and a standout at numerous national songwriting showcases, Louie has opened for artists such as Dietrich Strause and Carolyn Wonderland. His live shows are known for their feel-good energy and inspiring messages of love, peace, and connection.
