residing in our gardens
with good fortune,
tenderly cared for by human hands
allowed to wander a given passage.
others by the roadside
lingering in the hedgerows,
traversing along only to capture
the nearest affections.
bewitched by these rambling evolutions,
plein-air studies and bare, stark anatomy.
erotic reminders,
connecting, entwining,
in full love’s embrace.
from strong foundations
dancing their way skyward,
standing for years,
selfishly clinging to others,
oblivious to their surroundings.
patient meanderers
longing to be touched,
close, silent acquaintances
sharing opportunity for prosperity.
