Windsong with Richard Gardzina (sax and flute), Leslie Webb (flute), and Matt Hogan (bass) will perform at the third “Jazz in the Streets,” a free event sponsored by the Seacoast Jazz Society on Saturday, August 6, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the tugboat area on Ceres Street in Portsmouth.
Stroll up to the Vaughan Mall Stage, and find John Hunter & Friends with John (bass), Paul Heckel (vibes), and Charlie Jennison (piano), also performing from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
In addition to “Jazz in the Streets” the Seacoast Jazz Society, a nonprofit organization, also sponsors an annual jazz festival, a spring lecture series, and special events as part of its mission to engage the community, support local musicians, and provide scholarships for young artists.
