The Art Center in Dover, New Hampshire, has been selected as a premier East Coast host location for the FemLink-Art 20th Anniversary Global Celebration, commemorating two decades of international collaboration among women video artists.
The special event will take place Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 5:00–9:00 PM at The Art Center, 1 Washington Street, Dover, New Hampshire.
Founded in January 2005 by artists Véronique Sapin (France) and C. M. Judge (USA), FemLink-Art (FL’Art), the International Collective of Women Video Artists, brings women artists from around the world together through thematic video works designed to foster cross-cultural dialogue. The collective currently includes 154 women video artists from 64 countries.
FemLink-Art’s creative structure is intentionally simple: an artist creates a one- to two-minute video in response to a shared theme. Each work is autonomous, reflecting the artist’s personal experience, culture, imagination, and visual language. Together, the individual works form a collective composition offering a multifaceted reflection of contemporary life.
Throughout its 20-year history, FemLink-Art’s video compositions have been presented in art centers, museums, galleries, and cultural spaces internationally. The collective’s history is also documented in the newly published book FemLink-Art: Le Collectif International d’Artistes Vidéo Femmes.
Three International Video Compositions
As part of the FemLink-Art 20th Anniversary Global Celebration, The Art Center will present three FemLink-Art video compositions: FEMALE, AGGRESSION, and MAGIC.
FEMALE presents 30 videos reflecting on aspects of being a woman in contemporary society, exploring its complexities, challenges, and triumphs.
AGGRESSION takes viewers on a journey into the heart of violence around the world. Twenty-four artists explore a range of questions and experiences, from intimate physical and psychological confrontations to state violence and interpersonal relationships.
MAGIC features 25 artists responding to the question, “What is magical?” The works consider magic as a source of comfort, inspiration, and transformation while also examining its connections to manipulation, illusion, and danger.
Special Introduction Q&A with C. M. Judge
The evening will include an introduction and Q&A with FemLink-Art co-founder and co-curator C. M. Judge, offering visitors a special opportunity to learn more about FemLink-Art’s history, creative process, international network, and the artists represented in the video compositions.
The Art Center is honored to serve as an East Coast location for this international program and to bring the work of women video artists from across the globe to audiences in New Hampshire and the greater New England community.
