The Button Factory Stage welcomes the debut live performance of a band two decades in the making.
Dave Hunter and the Seven Hundred is the latest project from longtime Northeast songwriter and frontman Dave Hunter, launching in 2025 with a foot firmly planted in both the past and future of amped-up Americana. Drawing on the legacy of his former band, The Molenes—an outfit that broke into the Top 40 on the Americana Music Association’s radio chart, landed sync placements in film and television, and toured internationally—Hunter is back with new songs, fresh energy, and a seasoned band of collaborators.
With Chris Kelly (guitar, vocals), Steve Barlock (bass, vocals), and Joe Welsh (drums, vocals) rounding out the sound, the group revives some of The Molenes’ most beloved tracks while forging ahead with new material currently being recorded for a full-length album due in late 2025 or early 2026. If you were a fan of Good Times Comin’, Songs of Sin and Redemption, or This Car is Big, you won’t want to miss this inaugural performance.
Joining them are The Farewell Drugs, a powerful Americana duet featuring Courtney Brocks Dold and Jesse Dold, known for their work with Martin England and the Reconstructed, as well as Earthkit. With rich harmonies and acoustic string work in the tradition of Gillian Welch & David Rawlings and The Civil Wars, their set promises to be a captivating companion to the evening’s lineup.
Don’t miss this rare chance to witness the launch of a new chapter in New England Americana. Advance tickets are $10 online or $15 at the door.
