Active Retirement Association FREE Picnic to Kick Off 2025-26 Program Year

The Active Retirement Association (ARA) announces a FREE picnic to kick off its 2025-26 program year on Monday, September 8, 2025, at noon at Stratham Hill Park, 270 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH. With this free event the ARA is resuming its wide-ranging educational, cultural, and social programs after a summer hiatus. A light lunch of sandwiches, chips, and bottled water will be served. Non-vegetarian and vegetarian options will be provided (sorry, no gluten-free), and donations of desserts to share will be gratefully accepted. The picnic will take place rain or shine as the ADA-compliant park has a pavilion to help protect against the elements. Information about ARA membership benefits and a preview of upcoming events will be available as well as opportunities to socialize with current and prospective members. This FREE event is open to the public so invite a friend or two – adults only, please. Play a game of cornhole – bring your hiking gear if you’d like to participate in a hike on the park’s trails. The ARA is an organization for people ages 50 and over, whether retired or not.
