The Art Center is proud to present its annual “Rock the House” Members’ Exhibition. on view March 9 through April 30, 2026, at The Art Center, located in the historic Washington Street Mill in Dover, New Hampshire.
Featuring more than 100 works of art, this dynamic exhibition transforms the gallery into a vibrant showcase of creativity, presenting an exciting mix of painting, sculpture, mixed media, and printmaking by members and resident artists of The Art Center.
Visitors will experience a visually rich exhibition featuring bold contemporary abstractions, expressive figurative works, intricate sculptures, and colorful mixed-media pieces. Large-scale paintings anchor the gallery walls while sculptural works are displayed throughout the space, creating an immersive experience that highlights the extraordinary range of talent within The Art Center community.
“The Rock the House exhibition is always one of the most exciting shows of the year,” said Rebecca Proctor, Founder and Director of The Art Center. “The exhibition truly reflects the creativity, individuality, and artistic diversity of our members. Every gallery space is filled with energy, color, and innovation.”
The exhibition highlights artists working across many styles—from contemporary abstraction and landscape to sculpture and experimental mixed media—demonstrating the depth and vitality of the region’s creative community.
The public is invited to attend the Artist Reception on Saturday, April 4, from 6–8 PM, where visitors can meet the artists, explore the exhibition, and celebrate the arts in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
Located in the historic Washington Street Mill, The Art Center has grown into one of the largest creative hubs on the Seacoast, supporting artists through exhibitions, studio spaces, residencies, educational programs, and community events.
