Get ready for three concerts in three nights at The Word Barn in Exeter. Jake Swamp & The Pine headlines with guest Kali Stoddard Imari on Friday from 7-9 p.m. ($25). “The Wasp” at The Players’ Ring

The next show at The Players’ Ring in Portsmouth is described as a “gripping, electric nail-biter” loaded with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. “The Wasp” is on stage May 2-18; show times are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $26-$29. “Ugly Lies the Bone” at NHTP

Lindsey Ferrintino’s powerful drama “Ugly Lies the Bone,” about a wounded war veteran who builds a breath-taking virtual world to escape her pain, is on stage at New Hampshire Theatre Project in Portsmouth May 2-18.
