In the next two years, what do you think is the most important thing the council can do to build and support vitality in downtown?
A micro business ordinance and finding a downtown draw. A tax increment finance district that will do phase one and phase two of Main Street (improvements).
What should the city’s priorities be for future capital improvement projects in the community?
Memorial Drive pavement, Main Street phase one and two (improvements) and Indigo Hill Road. Also, a new concession stand with bathrooms at the high school field.
Would you be willing to support a tax cap override while developing city budgets? Why or why not?
No. Only in an emergency.
How can officials best address the opioid addiction epidemic that’s effecting the city and the region?
Community recreation programs, community outreach programs, and better opportunities. Also, a real treatment center in the state to be able to handle the amount of cases.
What is the most recent cultural event you attended in Somersworth?
The Blues Festival and the Pumpkin Festival.
What are the most important issues facing the city that no one is talking about right now?
The impact the two huge housing projects going on and how they will affect our services. Improving the (property) assessments.
