Above, People Like You
In less than two years, People Like You has rapidly risen to prominence in the Seacoast music scene. The Portsmouth-based band will rise to another level with a CD release show at The Press Room on Saturday, April 4, featuring a custom lightshow.
Formed in the summer of 2013, the band features brothers Eli Elkus on vocals and guitar and Max Elkus on drums, along with singer and guitarist Andrew Polakow, keyboardist Justin Sheriff, and bassist Rob Littlefield. Their indie-folk sound embraces psychedelic touches with hints of pop-rock and playful weirdness.
People Like You has gigged steadily around New England for the last year and a half. The show on Saturday will mark the release of the band’s first full-length studio album, “The Yellow Ones.” It begins at 9 p.m. at The Press Room, 77 Daniel St., Portsmouth.
