The Metabeat plays the music of the Beatles (and their solo music) with exciting new arrangements that explore improvisation and a variety of styles, performed by a supergroup of local musical masters. Longtime band members Mark Shilansky (keys, vocals), Taylor O’Donnell (vocals), Chris Klaxton (trumpet, guitar, vocals), and Eric Byers (guitar, vocals) are joined by Jesse Williams (bass) and legendary drummer Dave Mattacks (gracing the bands of hundreds of musicians from Fairport Convention to XTC to Paul McCartney himself), continuing the legacy begun by founding member and artistic director drummer Les Harris Jr.. Creative soloing, infectious grooves, and tight vocal harmony combine to discover fresh beauty in this timeless music.
2 of Us Beatles Acoustic Duo is the husband and wife team of Tom and Melissa Moore, performing on North Shore stages since 2018. With acoustic guitar, hand percussion, and lush harmonies, they bring intimate arrangements of Fab Four classics to life. As the sister and brother-in-law of the late Les Harris Jr., founding member of Meta Beat, Melissa and Tom are deeply honored to join Meta Beat for this special event.
