SoapOpera/SoapOpera is a monthly episodic…you guessed it, Soap Opera! Follow The Beaver family dynasty, a matriarchal run maple syrup empire. Identical twin sisters, Judith and Jasmine are inheriting the business from their Grandmeirmeir and Aunt Ethel (also identical twin sisters). Can they bring maple syrup into the 21st century or stick with tradition? Will the Beaver family slogan, “Somethin’ sweet where we meet.” boldly go beyond just breakfast? And what really happened at the Great Pancake Social of 1987?
Within this world is a cast of characters who are working to support or sabotage the maple operation. From ghosts to groundskeepers and most dreaded – The French Canadians. Join us each month and find out what happens next – and it’s a mystery for all because each show’s dialogue is improvised.
SoapOpera/SoapOpera is conceived and storyboarded by guest artist, Stephanie Lazenby. All dialogue, character development and various storylines are created and improvised in a collaborative process with the entire cast.
