Plant Fight are a New Hampshire post-punk/noise-rock band whose wiry, restless sound pulls in psychedelia, punk, no wave, and plenty of guitar abrasion. Their 2024 EP Organ Pavilion was recorded live and captures that raw approach across six compact tracks; more recently, Style Weekly compared their strain of no wave and noise rock to ’90s cult favorites Brainiac. The band has become a regular presence around the Seacoast DIY scene while also taking its live show beyond New England.

Spirit Ghost is the long-running indie-rock project of Massachusetts songwriter Alex Whitelaw, started in 2012 as a bedroom recording project outside Providence before evolving through Western Massachusetts, Austin, and now Boston. Whitelaw and the band pull from garage and surf rock, psychedelia, country, krautrock, and ’60s pop, tying those influences together with sharp, playful songwriting and a restless approach that shifts from record to record. Their third full-length, Ordinary People, arrived in March 2026 via Happen Twice, with Allston Pudding calling it the band’s most cohesive work to date.

Gaud are a New England music-and-arts project formed in New Hampshire in 2020, using ambitious, interconnected songs to explore storytelling, change, relationships, and the messiness of human experience. Their music sits in an experimental corner of alternative/indie rock, favoring shifting arrangements and narrative structures over straightforward genre conventions. Their 2024 full-length The Singer, produced with Zach Weeks, expanded the original five-piece into a larger ensemble and was conceived as a continuous story about family, choice, joy, and the lives people build around one another.

The Moon Snails are a five-piece from New Hampshire’s Seacoast whose loose, eclectic rock pulls from indie, psychedelia, classic rock, folk, blues, country, jazz, punk, and reggae. Formed after years of jamming together in Dover-area apartments, the band describes itself as rooted in a shared love of classic rock, with multiple songwriters and a deliberately wide-ranging approach; WSCA has aptly called them an “eccentric rock group” with indie, psychedelic, folk, alternative, and blues roots. Their self-titled debut EP arrived in 2024, followed by a 2025 release through NH DIY label JCH Records and the 2026 single “Hey Doggie.”
