The Wire Jays are a South Florida–based five-piece newgrass band that formed at the Frost School of Music, where the members developed their distinctive blend of virtuosic musicianship, inventive songwriting, and boundary-pushing bluegrass. Fusing traditional string-band instrumentation with modern influences, the band has built a fast-growing following through dynamic live performances, viral reimaginings of pop songs, and an adventurous approach that brings bluegrass squarely into the 21st century.
White Mountain Ramblers is a Portland, Maine–based acoustic quartet bringing a fresh, adventurous spirit to bluegrass. Formed in 2024, the band blends traditional tunes, original songs, and inventive arrangements with influences ranging from Tony Rice and the Grateful Dead to contradance music, earning a fast-growing reputation for virtuosic musicianship, joyful improvisation, and energetic live performances across New England.
