Bellwire is a New England rock band first formed in the summer of 2011, now most commonly spotted in the fall. Early experiments in lo-fi, surf, and punk gave way to their jangly power-pop style typified on the EP, Dog Thoughts. Their self-titled 2022 LP is an alt-country concept album that tells a story of love and loss. Often appearing with New England pirate-punk stalwart Jonee Earthquake on pedal steel, their high-energy performances still put lyrics and story first.
