Scott Hsu is a Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter, live looper, and multi-instrumentalist from Amherst, Massachusetts, known for genre-fluid performances that blend electronica, pop, and rock through live looping synthesizers, guitar, and layered vocal effects. His shows highlight both technical wizardry and emotional depth, creating a sound that feels expansive, intimate, and deeply personal.
A former high school math teacher, Scott left his 15-year career after the COVID pandemic reshaped his life and priorities, choosing to pursue music full time. That leap is reflected in his songwriting—passionate and heartfelt, rooted in authenticity, and drawn to themes of love, nostalgia, identity, transformation, and redemption. His work often incorporates multilingual elements, weaving Mandarin and English together to express cross-cultural love and a global, hybrid sense of self.
Scott’s recent releases include the dreamy Chinglish pop-punk single I just wanna 陪你 (2025) and the plucky pop Americana track You Got My Love (2024). His discography also features Confessional EP (2025), Cliffs EP (2024)—which includes the catchy synth-rock single Play—and Strident H (2022), home to the anthemic track Never Again. His next album, slated for release in 2026, will further explore his connection to his Taiwanese heritage with bilingual songs in English and Chinese.
