Expressing Stories Through Movement & Film
This workshop encourages participants to use their personal narrative as seeds for creating movement phrases. Through guided explorations and improvisations, participants will be encouraged to use their stories and personal narratives to develop their own movement vocabulary. Participants will then take these studies and use the camera to capture and guide choreographic choices. The group will be encouraged to make spontaneous, creative decisions as they film; which in turn will be the seeds for future movement studies.
Open to all skill levels and geared toward all interested in movement as a means of expression.
*Registration to the workshop is FREE, but it’s necessary to reserve your spot. Click “Buy Tickets” to reserve.
