A night of legacy, harmony, and soul. Two tributes. One remarkable show.

WSCA’s Button Factory Stage presents a very special double-feature performance: Of Heart and Mind – a tribute to Joni Mitchell performed by Nicole Gauthier, and CatMoonShadow – a tribute to Cat Stevens performed by John Fuzek.

This wonderful tribute to two legendary songwriters that emerged in the late 60’s/early1970’s consists of-  OF HEART AND MIND – A Tribute to the Music of Joni Mitchell and CATMOONSHADOW – A Tribute to the Music of Cat Stevens. These are two solo performers who perform the show in an acoustic, solo, singer-songwriter style. They truly connect with their audiences and bring them on a musical journey through song. This show tributes the music of these legendary songwriters and plays their music in a solo, acoustic format as true to the original as possible. Nicole Gauthier and John Fuzek’s voices are reminiscent of how Joni and Cat sounded in their heyday. Nicole Gauthier’s voice will melt your heart and John Fuzek pours his heart and soul into every song. Hits and deep cuts make up the two hour performance.

These two legendary singer-songwriters shaped the landscape of folk and rock. Now, their timeless work is honored in a heartfelt evening of song and spirit. Nicole and John breathe new life into the poetic introspection of Joni Mitchell and the gentle wisdom of Cat Stevens, offering interpretations that are both reverent and refreshing.

But that’s only half the story.

Fuzek•Rossoni, the acclaimed Rhode Island duo of John Fuzek and Mary Ann Rossoni, will reunite to share a collection of originals that span decades of collaboration. Known for their rich harmonies, genre-defying style, and honest songwriting, the duo rose to regional prominence with their award-winning debut Living with the Fury and the Fire, followed by Waking Up from the American Dream. Their work touches on politics, the environment, relationships, and the pulse of everyday life.

Over the years, John and Mary Ann have shared the stage with a staggering list of icons—from Don McLean to Paula Cole, Richie Havens to Boz Scaggs, and The Beach Boys to Josh Ritter. Separately, they’ve each carved meaningful solo paths—John as a festival founder and Neil Young tribute bandleader, and Mary Ann as a prolific songwriter, visual artist, and member of Dragonfly Marie and Midnight Honey.

And yet, when they reunite, something special happens. That spark that started over thirty-five years ago still shines.

Whether you’re here for the tributes, the originals, or both—this is a night of music that connects generations.
