Con Tutti ushers in the season, wassailing, singing and celebrating! The men and women of Con Tutti will sing their solstice concert, “Sending You Light!” on December 7, at 7:30 p.m. at South Church, 292 State Street in Portsmouth.
“There’ll be a storm at sea, Privateers, Angels, and Villagers singing a great mix of songs from robust sea shanties to rowdy pub tunes, from Newfoundland dance music to a gorgeous Vivaldi Gloria, from toasting tunes to a poignant song of sending light to heal and hold you! We’ll sing beloved carols, West Gallery music and more to kick off the holiday season in Portsmouth!” exclaims Director Joanne Connolly. “Surprises are in store, for the audience, for those fishermen turned privateers, and for our villagers!”
Tony Lee will be on hand as the storyteller. There will be new creations from artist, Nancy Sander. Jim Prendergast with his trio on guitar, fiddle, and upright bass will be there to pump up the music from the British Isles!
