The weekend brings music, theater, poetry and more to Seacoast venues. Here are a few of the highlights.

‘La Cage aux Folles’ at the Rep

On stage now at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth is “La Cage Aux Folles,” the Tony-winning musical that inspired hit film “The Birdcage.” It runs through April 3; show times are generally Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $32-$52. Two concerts at The Stone Church

It’s the weekend, and that means The Stone Church is rockin’ in Newmarket. Boston-based reggae favorite Dub Apocalypse returns to the Church on Friday with guest Coyote Island. Then, on Saturday, regional rock outfit Liv N’ Brilliant takes the stage with guest Amulus. Both shows start at 9 p.m. and cost $12. Learn more here.

The Last Waltz at The Press Room

Nearly 20 of the Seacoast’s finest musicians will come together at The Press Room in Portsmouth to recreate one of the greatest rock concerts ever performed. The group will play The Band’s “The Last Waltz” on Saturday at 9 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25-$35; proceeds benefit the Continuum Arts Collective. Learn more here.

PSO Winter Concert at The Music Hall

The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra will present its winter mainstage concert at The Music Hall in Portsmouth on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. The program features a trio of works that highlight the orchestra’s melodic richness. Poetry workshop w/Shira Dentz

As part of The Word Barn’s Silo Series, Shira Dentz will lead a two-part online workshop over the next two Sundays (March 13 and 20) from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The “Hybrid Poetry as Witness and Reclamation Workshop” will include prose poems, process-writing, and poetry with visual art and other media.
