When it comes to pet videos, cats are king. We feel this is an injustice, as dogs deserve equal time in the limelight. Fortunately, some remarkable canines will be on the big screen at The Music Hall in Portsmouth during the annual NY Dog Film Festival, taking place Friday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. The event features animated, documentary, and narrative short films, with proceeds benefiting local animal welfare groups. Tickets are $15. For more information, click here.
