Owls, ghosts, and at least one Fox will visit the Seacoast during a weekend full of music, comedy, the outdoors, and the paranormal. Learn about some of the most anticipated highlights below.

Owl Prowl Series
Center for Wildlife Owl Prowl

After a wet week, the weather is expected to turn warm this weekend, creating a perfect environment for an owl prowl. The Center for Wildlife in Cape Neddick brings back its Owl Prowl Series with an evening presentation and stroll on Friday, April 28, from 5:30-7 p.m. Participants will learn about native owl species and meet some birds up close before taking a short walk in the woods. Ruby Rose Fox

In the nearly two years since Boston-based vocalist Ruby Rose Fox’s 2015 performance at The Music Hall Loft, she has collected a trophy room’s worth of awards and released a full-length album (“Domestic”) with a batch of accompanying videos. She and her band return to Portsmouth for a gig at The Press Room on Friday, April 28, at 10 p.m., following local band Red Tail Hawk. Tickets are $10-$12, available here. Get your annual dose of ghost at New England Para-Fest 2017 at the Kittery Community Center on Saturday, April 29. Speakers will address paranormal topics like ghosts, UFOs, Bigfoot, haunted lighthouses, and more. There will also be vendor tables, psychic readings, door prizes, and refreshments. The Emmy and Grammy Award winner brings her new book to The Music Hall in Portsmouth for a live stand-up performance on Saturday, April 29, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $65-$78, available here.

Local favorites Mother Superior & the Sliding Royales, a seven-piece band fronted by vocalist Taylor O’Donnell, pays tribute to the genre of soul with a special show at The Dance Hall in Kittery on Saturday, April 29, at 8 p.m. The group vows to conjure up the very soul of soul music, with nods to record labels like Motown and Stax.
