TEDx seeks local nonprofits

News

As TEDxPiscataquaRiver returns to Portsmouth on May 8, the event is looking for local nonprofits that it can help make an “impact.” TEDx organizers are now accepting applications from Seacoast nonprofits to participate in the event. Three nonprofits will be selected; at the event, a representative from each will share their organization’s mission and biggest challenge with the audience. In turn, audience members will brainstorm solutions and get involved with the nonprofit.

“We hope that participating organizations will gain helpful solutions, a greater community awareness of their needs, and a larger volunteer base to help them meet future challenges,” says TEDx organizer Crystal Paradis.

Nonprofits must be based in the Seacoast or have a Seacoast chapter. Applications are at tedxpiscataquariver.com/impact. The deadline is April 11. — Larry Clow
