Summer rocks at the Rochester Opera House

The Rochester Opera House is expanding its season with two new series. The Summer Rocks Series and the Summer Movie Series both kick off in July at the downtown Rochester venue.

Summer Rocks features regional bands and tribute acts. Portland’s Paranoid Social Club comes to town on July 11, followed by Seacoast legends Groovechild on July 17. Tribute acts include “The Tommy Experience: A Tribute to The Who” on July 18, “Satisfaction! The International Rolling Stones Show” on July 29, Vyntyge Skynyrd on Aug. 14, and Half Step (a Grateful Dead tribute) on Aug. 28.

The film series will feature cult classics on a giant screen, starting with “Jaws” on July 8 and 9.
