New faces at Throwback Brewery, Federal Cigar
Some new, yet familiar, faces are working at Throwback Brewery in North Hampton and Federal Cigar in Portsmouth.
The downtown Portsmouth cigar bar recently announced that Zack Gage has been hired as bar manager. Gage is a familiar face in the Seacoast food scene — he previously worked as a bartender at the 100 Club, as general manager at Demeters Steakhouse, and as the assistant general manager at CR’s in Hampton. The cigar shop, located at 36 Market St., opened its cigar bar, located below the shop, last fall.
At Throwback Brewery, chef Carrie Dahlgren has joined the staff as the brewery transitions to a new location (to Hobbs Farm, across the street from its current Lafayette Road spot) and expands its offerings to include more food. Dahlgren is the former chef de cuisine at the Black Trumpet Bistro in Portsmouth, where she worked for eight years.
