The city will host a public meeting to discuss designs for an on-road bicycle route and pedestrian improvements along and across Lafayette Road and Middle Street on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The city has been working with engineering firm Greenman-Pedersen Inc. to develop three design concepts based on public input received in November, which will be presented at the meeting. The options include a two-way cycle track, buffered and protected bicycle lanes, and traditional bicycle lanes. Construction is slated to begin this fall.
