From art exhibits to live concerts, musical theater to standup comedy, there’s a lot going on this weekend. Here are some highlights.
Three new exhibits at 3S Artspace
Check out three new exhibits at 3S Artspace during Portsmouth’s Art ‘Round Town gallery walk on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Elsie Kagan displays landscape paintings in “the drop falls.” “Between the lines and breath” features installations by Mina Kim. In “Abundance,” Betsy Weisberg and Amy Green VanDeventer collaborate to pair hand-built stoneware vessels with sculpted botanical forms.
Photography exhibition at the NHAA
The New Hampshire Art Association is celebrating regional photography this month with its annual Lotte Jacobi Juried Photography Exhibition in Portsmouth. The show features 69 works by artists from across New England. An opening reception takes place on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Learn more here.
Art in Bloom at the John Paul Jones House
Celebrate the creative fusion of fine art and floral design during the second annual Art in Bloom Garden Party at the historic John Paul Jones House in Portsmouth on Friday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50; floral attire is encouraged. ‘Cinderella’ closing weekend at Prescott Park
If you haven’t seen the Prescott Park Arts Festival’s summer musical, you’ve got one more weekend to catch it. “Cinderella” is on stage in Portsmouth on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 p.m. ($12 suggested donation). ‘Dog Sees God’ at Newmarket Millspace
Contemplate both life and the afterlife as the Newmarket Millspace stages two live readings of Bert V. Royal’s satirical drama “Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead.” Directed by Mark J. Parker, readings take place on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18. Learn more here.
Live music and drag at WSCA Radio
Not Yer Mama’s Drag Co. returns to the Button Factory Stage at WSCA Portsmouth Community Radio for a night of fierce drag performances on Friday at 7 p.m. ($10). The following night, solo acoustic acts Adam Zane, Sam Gelston, and Jensing share the bill for a live concert on Saturday at 7 p.m. ($10). Learn more here.
Jazz in the Street 2026 in Portsmouth
The Seacoast Jazz Society is bringing its annual Jazz in the Streets event back to the Vaughan Mall Outdoor Stage in Portsmouth on Saturday from 12-4 p.m. The free concert features the Tiger Jazz Collective at 12:30 p.m., followed by the Second Line Sundays Brass Band at 2:30 p.m. Learn more here.
Two concerts at The Press Room
Rootsy Americana band Fruition brings its Something More Tour to The Press Room in Portsmouth for a gig with special guest opener Lydia Loveless on Saturday at 6 p.m. ($25-$30). Local roots-rock act The Crab Shack Band follows on Sunday at 7 p.m. ($20-$25). Learn more here.

Known for his stints as a cast member on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” Showtime’s “Weeds,” and CBS’s “Man With A Plan,” Emmy-nominated actor, writer, and comedian Kevin Nealon will perform live standup at The Music Hall in Portsmouth on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30-$55. Learn more here.
Wild and Weedy Wellness at Tuckaway Farm
Learn how to identify, gather, and utilize local herbs such as bee balm, goldenrod, jewelweed, black cherry, sumac, and boneset during the Wild and Weedy Wellness herbal foraging workshop at Tuckaway Farm in Lee on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person ($50 per family) for the foraging walk only, or $75 per person ($120 per family) for the walk and workshop.
