The Woodman Museum opens for the 98th season on April 2, 2014 with many new exhibits. This season’s special exhibition, ‘Tintypes to Digital,’ celebrates 175 years of photography with unique early cameras and 19th century photographs.
The Woodman Institute and 1675 William Damm Garrison house, a four-building complex established in 1916, is a true ‘Turn of the Century’ eclectic natural science, local early history and art museum.
Everything from butterflies to bugs, shells and minerals, Civil War and Indian artifacts, fire and police memorabilia, antique dolls and toys, furniture and art – something for all ages and all interests.
