Join the Sound Society

News

Dear reader,

It’s been seven months since you welcomed The Sound into your life, and we couldn’t be happier. Are you ready to take it to the next level?

We are! We want to share our secrets with you. We care about what you think. We even want to give you things. That’s why we founded the Sound Society.

It’s a membership club for readers and supporters of The Sound newspaper. For a monthly fee of $10, newsletter subscribers will receive weekly previews of unreleased content, as well as opportunities to interact with us, enter contests, and win cool stuff.

To join, visit soundnh.com/sound-society.

What’s in it for you:
All Sound Society members will receive an email newsletter every Tuesday afternoon, hours before the paper goes to print. It will include an exciting and exclusive sneak peek of that week’s publication. The newsletter will also frequently include survey questions relevant to our content and coverage area, with the results unveiled in the following week’s newsletter.

Members will be eligible for all kinds of ticket giveaways and other prizes. Contests could involve local trivia, scavenger hunts, proof of talent, feats of strength, or just be random. For our first giveaway, everyone who signs up by 5 p.m. on Monday, July 6, will be entered into a drawing for two free tickets to see Trevor Noah, future host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” at The Music Hall in Portsmouth on July 18. It’s one of just a handful of events the comedian is holding in the country before he takes over for Jon Stewart in September.

Sound Society members will also receive invites to special events hosted by or in partnership with The Sound. Members will be the first to know about our projects and plans, and they’ll be offered opportunities to get involved.

What you do:
Sound Society membership is $10 per month and lasts for one year. You can sign up and pay at soundnh.com/sound-society. The newsletter will be emailed to members every Tuesday afternoon. Feel free to contact publisher Matt Kanner at 603-373-0499 or matt@soundnh.com.

As a member, you’ll help support this free publication, the only independent weekly newspaper in the Seacoast. In so doing, you’ll contribute to our mission, which includes encouraging local arts and providing in-depth news coverage on issues important to home.

Thanks for joining the Sound Society, and just for reading.

With gratitude,
The Sound staff
