The food offerings in Kittery, Maine, continue to diversify with the recent opening of Kazimierz European Market in Wallingford Square. The store, offering specialty imported food and gifts from Europe, opened last week.

Kazimierz carries Irish bangers, German sausages, cave-aged cheddar cheese from England, black currant syrup from Austria, heirloom tomato sea salt from France, and more.

Owners Danielle Moura and Kris Kucala, a married couple who live in Kittery Point, opened the market on March 10 and held a grand opening event on March 14. It’s located at 76 Wallingford Square, adding to the international cuisine offered within a few blocks at places like Tulsi Indian Restaurant, Anju Noodle Bar, and Loco Coco’s Tacos.

Kittery Foreside’s food and dining options have grown significantly over the last few years. About a week before Kazimierz opened, The Farm Bar and Grille opened for business on State Road (The Farm also has locations in Dover, Manchester, and Essex, Mass.).

“We are so happy to finally be able to bring a little bit of our love of food, travel, and family to our home town,” Moura said in a press release.
