Satire is a time-honored form of art, which has all but disappeared from our society (that’s why I’m giving you Wikipedia, ugh).
CJ Hopkins is a master of satire. He skewers shibboleths right, left and center — which makes him a controversial figure, by definition. Taking his words at face value leaves you comfortably in the dark about uncomfortable facts. And that’s good, amirite?
Notwithstanding his disrepute — and being disreputable ourselves — we are honored to host CJ on October 28th at 4pm as the final whistle stop (aka stumble over the finish line) of his American Road Trip project. It’s billed alternately as “A Stranger in a Strange Homeland” or “Back in the U.S.S.A.” If you don’t have a sense of humor, please stop reading right now!!
Since the days are getting shorter, and colder, we are limiting attendance to 50 people, so if you want to hear what CJ has learned on his amazing journey across these disunited states, please respond ASAP to this invitation at karen@crowsfeatfarm.org — with CJ in the subject line of your email. There’s no charge for the session, but you might need to check your coat and privilege at the door.
The plan is simple: we’ll be talking, eating and drinking (approved beverages only!) for 3+ hours or until he and photographer Hugo Fernandez collapse and cry uncle.
