2021 Portsmouth City Council Candidate Questionnaire

Read up on your candidates for Portsmouth City Council

Nineteen candidates are on the ballot to fill nine seats on the Portsmouth City Council for the next two-year term (2022-2023). The candidate who receives the most votes will be named mayor; the candidate who receives the second-most votes will be assistant mayor.

Portsmouth’s municipal election takes place Tuesday, Nov. 2. Polling hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visit the City Clerk’s Office to get information on registration, voting locations, absentee ballots, sample ballots, and more.
