DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 15 | Doors 7:00 PM / Show 7:30 PM\nTurf ‘N’ Turf\, Lizzy\, and Tin Man’s Sheet Metal Caulk\n@ The Button Factory Stage \nTurf ‘N’ Turf\nTurf ‘N’ Turf is the brainchild of ex-farmer and longtime headbanger Snail. This one man band and performance art project revolves around The Noise Machine- a seven foot tall collapsible chicken wire cage which Snail performs inside of. Snail’s noise is created through the use of electric slide guitar\, a stomp box floor\, trashy old cymbals\, chains\, scavenged tractor parts and cow bones. This molten mess of rock ‘n roll melds the dark hypnotism of Delta & Hill Country blues with the sounds of garage rock and hard rock from years past\, the chaotic realm of punk and the vast netherworld of heavy metal. Combining this noise with the aesthetics of Mad Max and Americana\, Turf ‘N’ Turf hits audiences with a visceral visual and auditory assault. Equipped with the Turfmobile and plenty of caster wheels\, the Turf has been crashing into venues around Upstate New York since 2017\, eagerly poised to deliver its noise to all lands beyond. \nLizzy\n“Sludge-drenched spiritualism and cosmic weight define New Hampshire’s stoner-doom trio Lizzy\, now signed to Italian powerhouse Argonauta Records and its (un)parallel imprint Octopus Rising. The band invites listeners into a slow-burning descent of drone\, distortion\, and ritualistic trance—music that feels less like songs and more like sonic invocations. Drawing from the monolithic crawl of Black Sabbath\, the meditative gravity of OM\, and the molten aggression of Sleep and High On Fire\, Lizzy further bends genre expectations by channeling baroque flourishes\, flamenco tension\, and North Indian and Middle Eastern tonalities. The result is a low-end-heavy\, trance-inducing assault where droning mantras collide with blown-out amplification and feedback-scarred heaviness.
