Study in Wales – Information Night about Studying in the UK
For advisers, families, and students
What’s next after High School? Overwhelmed or perhaps excited about the options for college? Are you interested in what other higher education options might be available to you that won’t cost a fortune?
Come along to an informal information night hosted by Study in Wales in cooperation with IECA. Dr. Maggie Parke from Study in Wales will be with us discussing the processes, opportunities, and costs involved in UK education (easier and cheaper than you think), and will provide an introduction to the universities and majors on offer. We’ll discuss everything from application to travel, accommodation, funding, and visas to take the mystery out of it and show you how doable it really is.
Why Consider Wales? Degrees from the UK are equal to US degrees, 3 years in length, and significantly less expensive, with most tuition in the $15,000-$20,000 range per year (3 yrs). A master’s is also just 1 year long, and a PhD 3, so in 4 years you could have your master’s, which takes 6-7 years in the US.
Who should come? Anyone interested in more information about studying overseas. Parents, students, and advisers will gain insight into the process and possibilities.
What if I can’t make it that night? Maggie will be based in Boston from July 23-Aug 2, and New Hampshire from August 27-30, and is available for individual appointments. You can email her at [email protected] to book an appointment.
Location details: The Bungalow Club, 1 Franklin Street, Exeter NH 03833
