Shakespeare Happy Hours

Queens, NY, based Rude Grooms and Portsmouth, NH, based Seven Stages Shakespeare Company announced a new series of online live-stream performances called Shakespeare Happy Hours. The project kicks off on April 1, 2020 and the plays begin at 5pm EST every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on YouTube or at shakespearehappyhours.tv. Each 90-minute rendition of William Shakespeare’s plays will be performed in real time by actors across the US and UK, allowing the actors to collaborate remotely.

The rotating ensemble of 40 actors includes Ben Crystal (curator of The Shakespeare Ensemble), Josh Innerst (Hamlet with American Shakespeare Center), Jerome Harmann Hardeman (Dirty Dancing national tour), Natasha Magigi (2019 tour with Shakespeare’s Globe), Dickon Tyrrell (Measure for Measure with Shakespeare’s Globe), Chinaza Uche (Dickinson on Apple TV+), Christie Vela (King Lear with Dallas Theater Center and Trinity Repertory Company), and Harry Waller (Much Ado About Nothing with the Royal Shakespeare Company) alongside Kara ArenaDaniel KemperLaura PiccoliDeb Radloff, and Montgomery Sutton from Rude Grooms and Dan Beaulieu, Alex Hernandez, Dylan Kammerer, Deb Kinghorn, Danielle Nigro, and Christine Penney from Seven Stages Shakespeare Company.
