How Can The Arts Heal A Community?

The arts allow us to connect with the essence and fullness of who we are and inspire us to enact change in the world around us. This conference will center BIPOC* thought, expression, and creative practice to explore how the arts can be a tool for authentic healing and social change in our communities.

Join Green Acre, Theater for the People, and the greater Seacoast community, for a conference that aims to offer a space for vibrant reflection and find needed ways to interweave principles of social justice and the arts.

Activities will include performances, presentations, and workshops by Jeryl Palana Pilapil Brown (Dance & Movement), Diannely Antigua (Creative Writing & Poetry), Nailah Randell-Bellinger (Choreographer/Educator), Tanisha Johnson (Activism), Toni Singleton (Nurse/Educator/Dancer), Sandi Clark Kaddy (Theater Artist), Deborah Mason (Dancer/Studio owner), Sandra Guzman (Author/Film Producer).

* This conference is intended for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and community members of all cultural backgrounds who are actively engaged in anti-racism, justice, inclusion, social change, spirituality, arts, or leadership work with children, youth, or adults. If you are committed to transformational conversations and change-making work, this space is for you!
