The third annual Rock Water Film Festival will be held Sunday, July 28 at Sue’s Space, located at 3 Front Street, Suite B789, Rollinsford, NH. Doors open at 2pm with a $10 admission fee. Concessions will be available for a suggested donation. All proceeds from the event will go towards funding Seacoast art collectives Wrong Brain, and Sue’s Space. The festival is excited to announce its first Viewer’s Choice Awards, where featured filmmakers will be eligible to win a membership to Sue’s, gift cards to Sam Pao’s clothing store, and more.
A showcase of local and independent filmmaking, the festival will include three blocks of short films, with a maximum length of twenty minutes. The first two blocks are comprised of PG through PG-13 rated material. Viewer discretion is advised for the later third block of films. After each block, attendees are encouraged to participate in discussion panels with the featured filmmakers. Pamphlets with film information and run time will be provided.
Darcie Blake and Alex Keown, founders of RWFF, say, “This film festival is unique to the Seacoast because it provides an alternative platform to bring together filmmakers and artists of all ages and skill sets together, which creates a wonderful sense of community. Every year has brought us new filmmakers to discover, and we love getting submissions from folks whose work we have showcased in past festivals. There’s a lot of growth and excitement from all of our participants.”
About Rock Water Film Festival Started by New Hampshire filmmakers Darcie Blake and Alex Keown in 2017 as a showcase of indie film and video production in the Seacoast area, the festival provides an outlet for the visions and voices of local, DIY filmmakers from across New England.
