Who will win this year’s Project Upcycle?! Join us for the Runway Event, become part of the thrill and excitement, enjoy tasty bites and beverages, and celebrate this year’s designers!
3S Artspace, in partnership with Recovergirl and Goodwill of Northern New England, seeks to promote regional designers and sustainable fashion in the 3rd annual Project Upcycle design competition.
Eight designers will put their skills to the test in this wildly creative and fast-paced design challenge, transforming secondhand clothing provided by Goodwill of Northern New England into a gala-worthy outfit! The design challenge takes place November 5-7 and culminates in the Project Upcycle Runway Event on Novmeber 7.
With the support of community role models, designs will be modeled on the catwalk during Saturday night’s Runway Event! Designers will compete for cash prizes and will be judged on execution, creative reuse of materials, and styling by our elite panel of judges. As an attendee, you’ll also have the chance to cast your vote. And new this year: there is a prize for the “Audience Choice!”

By purchasing a VIP ticket for Project Upcycle, you’re invited to attend the Meet & Greet on Thursday, November 5th at 7pm. During this intimate, behind-the-scenes experience, watch as the designers and the community role models meet for the first time, take a look at the Gallery space where all the sewing will be taking place, and see the competition begin as the designers choose their first item of clothing to upcycle into their designs from a mountain of possibilities!
*New this year!* VIP ticket holders also get a seat right next to the runway during the Project Upcycle Runway Event on November 7th.
A cash prize will be awarded to the top three designers.
