Jeff Warner and John Roberts are graduates of the Great Folk Revival of the 1960s and are legendary singers/performers of American and British Balladry and Song of the Sea. They also bring guitar, banjo and concertina prowess to the stage. Both solo performers, they join forces for this special festival presentation.
Jim Mcgeean and Pat Sheridan, respectively from England and Ireland, are wonderfully knowledgeable and talented singers and international recording artists. They will perform from their unique repertoire of traditional maritime shanties, ballads and fo’c’sle songs.
At the Open Shanty Sing the public is invited to join the festival’s featured performers in a community sing. One of the festival highlights, the community’s voices are raised together, singing the songs of the Age of Sail.
