In writing and revising poems, I found that I’m able to express hardships, loss, joy and a multitude of emotions that were otherwise hard to express. In learning how to write poetry, one can find a version of themselves that one may not have been aware of. In this lecture/discussion based course, participants will gain an understanding of poetical tone, imagery, and rhyme schemes. And we will work to develop a literary voice unique to yourself. Poetic expression can be one of the more liberating endeavors in one’s life. This course is taught by Shane Morin. Course dates: July 27-August 31, Saturdays 3pm-4:30pm.
