SUMMARY:Owloween at The Word Barn
DESCRIPTION:Come in costume\, or come as yourself – and join us in The Word Barn Meadow for an outdoor family-friendly\, environmental education program featuring a variety of owl and other raptor species! \nMeet some wild and native raptor ambassadors and learn how un-scary they actually are. \nFocusing on animals found in our local habitat\, educators from Tailwinds will provide an in-depth introduction to the unique differences and similarities between the different wild raptors\, as well as natural and personal histories. \nThis hour long program will connect the audience with these beautiful ambassadors of their species\, as well as provide their natural and personal histories\, and empower audience members to help to steward the environment that we all share. \nFollowing the program\, there will be a Q&A session. \nThis is not a youth program\, but family friendly and children are most welcome (and will surely be fascinated\, inspired\, and learn lots). Children under 10 are free\, but are required to register given capacity limitations. \nEach ticket includes a complimentary beer or cider. \nProceeds from this program will support Tailwinds education efforts and The Word Barn.
