Our owls are on the move and making a hoot!
This fun event introduces participants to the amazing adaptations of native owls. We’ll gather (at a distance) in The Word Barn Meadow and meet real and live owls from the Center for Wildlife, learn about our native owl species, their ecology, and adaptations.
Following the presentation, we’ll take a short walk into the surrounding habitat to call for owls and listen for whooo might call back.
We welcome owl prowlers of all ages, but please remember that patience and a quiet atmosphere are crucial for owling. Children under 10 are free, but are required to register given capacity limitations.
Each ticket includes a complimentary beer, cider, or hot chocolate!
Proceeds from this program will support the Center for Wildlife and The Word Barn.
This is a distanced, open-air, contactless, masked, and COVID conscious event.
