SUMMARY:New Hampshire Civil War Veterans at Weirs Beach with C. Ian Stevenson
DESCRIPTION:The Civil War Roundtable of New Hampshire welcomes anyone with an interest in history to our March 21\, 2025\, program\, when we welcome C. Ian Stevenson from Boston University who’ll discuss: \n“New Hampshire Veterans Association at Weirs Beach” \nAfter the Civil War\, veterans found a need to be with each other\, finding solace with others who had been through similar experiences. \nWeirs Beach at Lake Winnipesaukee would be the perfect fit and for years the gatering of New Hampshire’s vets took place there\, and notable guests included George McClellan\, William T. Sherman and Theodore Roosevelt. \nThe CWRT of NH is a non-profit group that meets nine times a year. All are welcome. \nDetails on this meeting and the complete schedule for 2025 can be found on our website. \nMeeting begins 7:15pm\, doors open 6:45pm. Park in rear and come in the back door.
