Indonesian Community Connect (ICC) Inc. will host the Little Indonesia Night Market this Saturday, June 19th between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Open to the public, this lively event is another way in which the ICC connects local communities with the Indonesian culture to promote cross-cultural respect and appreciation.
The Little Indonesia Night Market is a unique opportunity to experience the richness of the Indonesian culture through traditional food, music, and art. This will be an outdoor event, to take place at the Little Indonesia Cultural Center, located at 156 High Street in Somersworth, NH, and continue into the evening.
The mission of the ICC is to act as a bridge between the Indonesian and surrounding communities by sharing the Indonesian culture with the public through events such as these. This weekend’s event also serves as a key fundraising opportunity for the ICC’s Little Indonesia revitalization project, which has been the long-term vision of the nonprofit. When complete, the Little Indonesia project will be a cultural hub in downtown Somersworth that will further integrate the Indonesian culture into the state of New Hampshire.
