Pontine Theatre presents a free screening of the 1945 French epic film, Les Enfants du Paradise / The Children of Paradise, directed by Marcel Carne’. The film features Etienne Decroux, the “Father of Modern Mime,” whose actor training technique forms the foundation of Pontine Theatre’s artistic philosophy. This free screening is in honor of 125th anniversary of Etienne Decroux’s birth. Mime scenes for the film were choreographed by Decroux and his protege, Jean-Louis Barrault.
